Morar is the colourway that I created for Edinburgh Yarn Festival in 2019. It is inspired by the magenta-purple shades of heather clinging on to grey rocks on the Scottish coast.
Merino Silk 4ply is an incredibly soft yarn, with a cosy high twist and a beautiful silken sheen. It works wonderfully for accessories.
Yarn: Merino Silk 4ply
Blend: 80% Merino, 20% Silk
Meterage per skein: Approx 365m
While I do my best to capture the colours as true to life as possible, please keep in mind that computer monitors vary in how they show colours, and there will always be some variation between dye batches due to the nature of hand dyeing.
Silky smooth yarn with a fabulous twist. A delight to knit with and now I want to figure out something to crochet in this yarn so I get even more stroking time. And the flecky, speckly goodness is ‘phwoar’.
Morar in my heart
Fell in love with the colour way and the name (have ancestors from Morar), feels great, looking forward to knitting socks with it.
