I was thinking about the classic images of Australia, and the rusty corrugated metal buildings came to mind. The high twist texture of the yarn represents the corrugated texture of sheets of iron.
Merino Sock is a wonderfully versatile yarn spun from gorgeously soft merino. It is spun from two plies of yarn, giving a fabulous bounce and texture. It will work up fantastically for just about any project, including garments, socks, and accessories.

Travelknitter yarns are all hand-dyed in East London, using only professional-grade acid dyes.
I recommend that you treat the yarn kindly by hand-washing in cool water order to keep the colours looking their best.
While I do my best to capture the colours as true to life as possible, please keep in mind that computer monitors vary in how they show colours, and there will always be some variation between dye batches due to the nature of hand dyeing.
