Double Happiness is the perfect red: deep, saturated, rich colour.
Tanami is an absolutely incredible yarn. It's a super-soft blend of baby camel and silk, giving a perfect blend of sheen with a subtle halo. It has amazing drape and lovely texture, and knits to a light 4ply/sock weight gauge, but of course can be knit loosely for laceweight projects. This is a true luxury yarn that just begs to be knit in to something special.
Yarn: 50% baby camel / 50% silk
Meterage: Approx 400m/ 437 yards
Travelknitter yarns are all hand-dyed in East London using only professional-grade dyes. I recommend that you treat the yarn kindly by hand-washing in order to keep the colours looking their best.
While I do my best to capture the colours as true to life as possible, please keep in mind that computer monitors vary in how they show colours, and there will always be some variation between dye batches due to the nature of hand dyeing.
Possibly my favourite yarn ever!
I crocheted a lacy shawl with two skeins of this yarn and it was a joy to work with and has held up well. The shawl is my favourite for look and feel: it's so soft and silky, the colour is rich and saturated, and it has a wonderful shine.
