Huon Orchard is a colourway from home. The Huon Valley lies in the south of Tasmania, and is renowned for for its orchards bursting with apples and pears. I love how this colourway can appear a rich apple green or a more muted pear hue.
Tanami is an absolutely incredible yarn. It's a super-soft blend of baby camel and silk, giving a perfect blend of sheen with a subtle halo. It has amazing drape and lovely texture, and knits to a light 4ply/sock weight gauge, but of course can be knit loosely for laceweight projects. This is a true luxury yarn that just begs to be knit in to something special.
Yarn: 50% baby camel / 50% silk
Meterage: Approx 400m/ 437 yards
Travelknitter yarns are all hand-dyed in East London using only professional-grade dyes. I recommend that you treat the yarn kindly by hand-washing in order to keep the colours looking their best. While I do my best to capture the colours as true to life as possible, please keep in mind that computer monitors vary in how they show colours, and there will always be some variation between dye batches due to the nature of hand dyeing.
