FAQ

Please find some frequently asked questions below.  Please drop me a line if there's something I haven't covered.

Do you have a bricks-and-mortar shop?

No, I don't.  If you'd like to squish the yarns in person before buying, you can find me at a range of yarn shows throughout the year.  To find out where I'll be, I recommend signing up to my email newsletter.  A selection of Travelknitter yarns are also stocked at a small number of wonderful yarn shops, so please visit them if you're nearby.

Wild and Woolly in Clapton, East London.

Do you wholesale?

I only wholesale to a very small number of yarn shops, as I like to maintain a close relationship with my stockists.  If you would like to be considered as a stockist, please get in touch.

Do you use natural dyes?

I don't use natural dyes.  I use professional grade acid dyes, in order to get the bright, saturated colours that Travelknitter is known for.   These dyes are known for being the most washfast and lightfast available for wool and other animal fibre.

What's your environmental policy?

I do my utmost to reduce my impact on the environment.  I reuse the water in my dyeing process, and ensure that there is no excess dye to go down the drain.  I minimise the use of plastics.  My packaging is made from 100% recycled paper, including yarn bands, tissue paper, and mailing bags.  Even my branded labelling tape is made from paper and is fully recyclable.

Do you ship internationally?

Absolutely!  All parcels are sent via Royal Mail, and I can ship anywhere with a postal service!  I especially love to send my yarn to far flung countries.  For more information (especially for EU customers) please review my section on Shipping.

Do you do custom orders?

I don't currently accept orders for custom colours, but I can accept orders for larger quantities of my regular colourways (for instance if you need more yarn for a garment).  Just drop me a line - larissa @ travelknitter.com
