Merino DK - Pirates' Bay

Pirates' Bay is part of my Tasmanian colourway series.

Pirates Bay (the place) is a gorgeous beach in Eaglehawk Neck, in southern Tasmania.  One one end of the beach you'll find the Tesselated Pavement, so my two colourways are designed to work together perfectly.

Pirates' Bay (the colourway) is a blend of soft blues and greys, capturing the beach on a slightly moody day.

This extra fine merino yarn is as soft as wool gets! It's super soft, squishy, and sproingy. Because of the extra "sproing", it knits up ever-so-slightly heavier than some other DK weight yarns, but you get an extra 15% in the skein.

This is the perfect go-to yarn for accessories like scarves, cowls, hats, baby items, or a special snuggly cardi or jumper. Please contact me if you'd like a larger quantity for an adult sized garment.

Travelknitter yarns are all hand-dyed in East London using only professional-grade acid dyes.

We recommend that you treat the yarn kindly by hand-washing in cool water order to keep the colours looking their best.
