The Inky collection of colourways is inspired by the art of sumi-e, Japanese ink painting. This style of painting is typically monochrome, using only shades of black in. It's also possible to add a wash of colour to the ink, which is what I've tried to capture here. Each skein fades from black to charcoal with a layer of colour to give depth and tonality.
Merino Sock is a wonderfully versatile yarn spun from gorgeously soft merino. It is made from two plies of yarn, giving a fabulous bounce and texture. It will work up fantastically for just about any project, including garments, socks, and accessories.

Travelknitter yarns are all hand-dyed in East London, using only professional-grade acid dyes.
We recommend that you treat the yarn kindly by hand-washing in cool water order to keep the colours looking their best.
We do our best to capture the colours as true to life as possible, but please keep in mind that computer monitors vary.
