English Damson is a rich, deep, saturated colour inspired by those delicious plums (known for making their way in to bottles of gin).
Tanami is an absolutely incredible yarn. It's a super-soft blend of baby camel and silk, giving a perfect blend of sheen with a subtle halo. It has amazing drape and lovely texture, and knits to a light 4ply/sock weight gauge, but of course can be knit loosely for laceweight projects. This is a true luxury yarn that just begs to be knit in to something special.
Yarn: 50% baby camel / 50% silk
Meterage: Approx 400m/ 437 yards
Travelknitter yarns are all hand-dyed in East London using only professional-grade dyes. I recommend that you treat the yarn kindly by hand-washing in order to keep the colours looking their best.
While I do my best to capture the colours as true to life as possible, please keep in mind that computer monitors vary in how they show colours, and there will always be some variation between dye batches due to the nature of hand dyeing.
Too beautiful for a busy shawl
I discovered this wool at Sweater Weather and was captivated by the colours from across the room. They are so rich and deep - unlike any others I’d seen. I initially bought it for the Westknits MKAL. I stopped on the first clue because I decided that this yarn was too beautiful to be hidden by busy patterns. I’m knitting it into a much plainer shawl where the yarn is the star. Because this yarn deserves that.
